Pro 3x3 League to Launch with Maryland Division

Baltimore, MD (June 17, 2020) – Major 3x3 Basketball (M3B), a pro 3x3 basketball league, will launch with a Maryland division this summer. The previously announced Maryland 3x3 division is finalizing plans to tip-off following postponement of its original debut in March. 

“We’re excited to take M3B beyond Maryland. We have a national platform for our games through www.Sportcastr.comand interest around the country in 3x3 basketball. Fans will get their first exposure with our Maryland division and we seek to announce other divisions around the country over the next year,” commented John Wolfe, M3B Commissioner. 

Plans are underway for the Maryland division to play an eight-game regular season this summer, followed by a playoff/championship night. 

Major 3x3 Basketball’s goal is to field divisions around the U.S., while also allowing those entities to host their own open tournaments, kids’ clinics, etc. under the M3B umbrella.

Baltimore, MD (July 9, 2020) – Major 3x3 Basketball (M3B), a pro 3x3 basketball league, announced its Maryland division will tip off an eight-game regular season on September 26th, followed by playoffs and a championship series.  

“We appreciate the patience of our fans, sponsors, and supporters. We’re excited to announce a full slate of games and introduce 3x3 basketball to local fans,” commented John Wolfe, M3B Commissioner. 

M3B was originally scheduled to launch in March but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

Fans will be treated to a full schedule of games on September 26th, October 3rd, and October 10th, and the playoffs and championship series will take place on October 17th.

Baltimore, Maryland (April 20, 2020) – With continued concern for the safety of our fans, players, staff, and coaches and the extended closure of Maryland schools through May 15th, Maryland 3x3 Basketball (M3B) has announced the postponement of its last, originally scheduled tour date on May 2nd. 

New York, NY (March 11, 2020) – Maryland 3x3 Basketball (M3B) announced an exclusive streaming partnership with SportsCastr, the award-winning digital platform backed by Richard Sherman, Jim Boeheim, Steve Smith and the NFL Players Association. As part of the partnership, all M3B Tour 2020 tour events will be streamed exclusively on SportsCastr, utilizing the platform's groundbreaking technology that enables viewers to choose their own commentator, or be the commentator themselves.

Teams Include FIBA Veterans, 3x3 Ranked Players

Pasadena, MD (February 28, 2020) – M3B, Maryland 3x3 Basketball announced its Pre-Tour All-M3B selections this week. 

“We have some amazing talent assembled and many of our players were worthy of a selection,” commented M3B Commissioner John Wolfe. 

Bryan Akinkugbe (Princeton Day Academy/North Carolina A&T), EZ Garica (Cortulla (Texas)/Wells College), and Chris McGrew (Paint Branch/Salisbury) were named to the 1st Team.  Akinkugbe has played three professional seasons with stints in Canada and Mexico. Garcia is a Top 250 ranked 3x3 player in the U.S. and has played 3x3 in France, Switzerland, Mexico, and the U.S. His made it to the U.S. Regionals in Los Angeles this past summer. McGrew is a veteran of seven pro seasons, including stops in Bolivia, England, Equatorial Guinea, and Mexico, and is currently an assistant coach for the McDaniel College Women’s Team.
